Absolutely fantastic breakfasts, very welcoming and nice staff.
Beautiful old and excellent hotel, the services were good, brilliant location situated on a working farm. Airy & tastefully decorated room, two windows and coffee in there. Exceptionally comfortable bed and excellent facilities.

The hotel's location was amazing, in rolling hills in rural Cornwall with local markets and a market within walking distance.
The staff was incredibly rude.

The Superior Double Room offers expansive views of the countryside. Unique experiences include family-friendly activities on the farm like exploring the maize maze, providing fun of all ages.
While the venue feels isolated in a tranquil setting, it's a trek to the nearest pub, taking about 30 minutes uphill, so plan ahead for meals. Access roads are quite narrow, which could be a challenge, especially at night, and could make for a tricky arrival for some. One downside is the absence of a small fridge in the room, limiting options for snacks and drinks. A shower with better water pressure would enhance the bathing experience.

The welcome from one of the hosts was off-putting and could use improvement, but it didn't overshadow our overall experience.

We explored the Amazing Cornish Maize Maze and took a stroll down to the beach. The breakfast was superb and the rooms were spacious and clean. The quiet setting made it a perfect getaway!
We didn't get to use the sitting room downstairs because of our tight schedule, but it did look comfy.

The room was spacious, clean, and offered fine views of the countryside. The breakfast options really impressed me. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented. Felt very homey with Richard and Sarah in charge. The access roads to Smeaton Farm were quite narrow, made driving a bit tricky, especially at night. There weren't any dining options nearby that I could find, and the closest pub required a strenuous walk uphill, so plan ahead for meals. A peaceful retreat but a bit isolated when it comes to dining options.
